Background:
Miami State High is leading the city’s youth response to Gold Coast City Council’s Bold Future program. The first lesson for the school’s Year 8 students on Thursday 6 December will be ‘What makes the Gold Coast so great?’. With encouragement from teacher Taryn Hartley, students have discussed and decided their priorities for their city for the next 30 years and have made posters to illustrate what they want their city to be like in 2037. Students will fill in Bold Future feedback forms during the lesson.
