What is the BOLD FUTURE project all about?

BOLD FUTURE is the greatest opportunity the Gold Coast community has ever had to shape the future of our city. Bold Future is developing a blueprint for the Gold Coast for the next three decades.

Who is driving the BOLD FUTURE project?

BOLD FUTURE is a Gold Coast City Council project but every member of the community owns it and the outcomes of BOLD FUTURE will impact all of us for the next three decades.

What is the Bold Future Advisory Committee?

The BOLD FUTURE Advisory Committee was made up of community and business leaders who have considered the information from the 11,000 community responses and presented to Council a way forward for the Gold Coast for the next three decades.

Council's ambition for this city is that it be sustainable – economically, socially and environmentally - for our children and our children's children. The Gold Coast City Council has been working towards a sustainable lifestyle, economy and environment for more than a decade.

New and emerging challenges are continually being identified, based on work that has been done in the past and the work that is currently being done. These challenges must be met if the city is to have a sustainable future. Bold Future provides strategic direction that will help us, as a community, to meet these challenges.
